Dileia 2024
The Municipality of Mykonos, in co-organization with A.O. Mykonos and the South Aegean Region, will hold the “Dileia” track and field events for development teams for the 13th consecutive year in our Municipality. The events will take place on October 5th at Korfos Municipal Stadium.
Although “Dileia” began as a competitive opportunity for the youth categories of the Cyclades clubs, today they have been established as one of the most important national development events.
This year, we are delighted to host elite members of the National Track and Field Team at Dileia and Korfos Stadium.
- The two-time Paralympic Gold Medalist (Tokyo 2021-Paris 2024) in the 100m, Nasos Gavelas, and his guide, Ioannis Nyfantopoulos.
- Specifically, the 4x100m relay team, which placed 7th in Europe in 2024, with athletes (Ioannis Nyfantopoulos, Sotiris Garaganis, Vasilis Myrianthopoulos, and Nikos Panagiotopoulos).
- Elisavet Pesiridou (5th in a European Championship, 3rd in the Mediterranean Games, and 19-time Greek champion).
- Antonis Stylianidis (8th in the European U23 Championship).
MEET – PLAY – HAVE FUN
Children will have the opportunity to see the Greek champions up close, talk with them, and have them demonstrate technical aspects of their events. The athletes will have direct interactive contact with the children and the public, distributing gifts and souvenirs. There will be a surprise race involving the athletes, children, and their parents, as they will run a 50m relay race around the entire stadium. Our Paralympian will also present special features of the 100m event.
