The Municipal Cinema ‘Cine Manto’ was established in 1995 by the Municipality of Mykonos, within the Municipal Garden of Meletopoulos, a unique green space in our city (Donated by I. Meletopoulos to the Municipality of Mykonos in 1957).

Its purpose was to enrich the use of the garden with a cultural activity without changing or altering its character as a recreational area.

The garden was designed in such a way that the operation of the open-air cinema would be possible while minimally altering the morphology of the garden.
An internal pathway connects the cinema area with the back of the garden where there is an old church and a dovecote that has been converted into a canteen, operating from morning to night. The cinema operates from June 1st to early October and screens a wide variety of films, including new releases, Oscar-winning movies, other major commercial successes, various tributes to contemporary Greek productions, and many children’s films.
