ARTmill Festival
Every month is a celebration centered around children!
The artistic, recreational, and educational festival for children and young people “ARTMILL FESTIVAL”, funded for 4 years by the Municipality of Mykonos, draws inspiration for its title from our famous windmills!
These windmills, which with the power of the wind nourished previous generations, now become a source of inspiration, entertainment, and creativity for our little friends and those around them through artistic activities!
The main goal of the festival is to keep the island’s artistic activity alive throughout the year, creating the foundations for a long-term institution.
An institution that will not only offer the highest quality outlets for entertainment, education, and fun for the whole family, but will primarily provide space, encourage, and promote the artistic expression of local children and youth!
Within this framework, at least one activity for children and teenagers will be held each month, such as:
Theatrical performances, puppet shows
Storytelling, book presentations, children's book celebrations
Activities based on theatrical play
Musical events and concerts
Thematic events in indoor and outdoor spaces
Workshops on photography, cinema, animation, visual arts, puppetry
Music and theater workshops
Youth film club
We are proud of the great acceptance from families as well as teachers and students, as many performances are attended by schools, kindergartens, primary schools, middle schools, and high schools on the island.
