The counterfeiting and copying of branded products is developing into a major plague for European society and economy.
As part of the effort to combat this phenomenon, the Industrial Property Organization (OBI), the competent national body for the protection of Industrial Property (patents and designs), in collaboration with the Municipality of Mykonos, participates in the AUTHENTICITIES Program of the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). The aim of the Program is to protect Intellectual Property and raise consumer awareness about purchasing exclusively authentic products, aiming to certify Mykonos as an AUTHENTICITY-CERTIFIED city.
