The responsibilities of the Municipality's Financial Service are as follows:
a) Expenditure Department:
Search, entry, and verification of supporting documents for expenses
Preparation, modification, and execution of the budget
Issuance of payment warrants
Financial management of municipal legal entities
Issuance and execution of payroll
Preparation of monthly General and Analytical Ledger balances
Submission of tax forms to the relevant public services for the payment of taxes/fees and social security contributions of the Municipality and its Legal Entities
Submission of annual income tax, property tax, and large property tax returns for the Municipality and its Legal Entities
Preparation of year-end closing operations
Determination of results (profits/losses) for the year
Preparation of annual financial statements
Preparation of the annual financial report
b) Revenue Department:
Verification of liable parties and the amount of financial obligations to the Municipality
Creation and maintenance of records for liable parties
Preparation of preliminary certification lists and communication of excerpts from them
Issuance of certification notices for direct (ex officio) collections
Conduct of necessary checks for the use of public spaces
Issuance of permits related to the collection of various fees and rights
Management of calls from the Municipal Police and the Police Department
Monitoring the evolution of legislation, ministerial decisions, and any legal changes affecting the Municipality's revenue and providing recommendations accordingly
c) Treasury Department:
Formation and monitoring of obligations and expected collections
Receipt of payment warrants
Ensuring the payment of various deductions
Conducting collections of corresponding debts owed to the Municipality
Maintaining procedures and records related to the Municipality's revenues
